Installation instructions:

F-16AM (Mid Life Update) Viper Superpit version 3.0 , released June 2006

2D/3D Cockpit in 1600 x 1200 resolution for install type SP4+BMS2, FF3.1 and FF3.1+Cobra.

See further below for specific instructions for installing on Red Viper

  F-16AM cockpit installation
Step 1  Run the F16AM_installer, and point F4patch to the correct .exe
Step 2  Select the variant of your installation and apply
Step 3 Run Falcon and select a F-16AM to fly
   

 
  F-16AM nightpit installation, only for SP4.2/BMS2 type of install
Step 1  Run the Superpits.exe on your desktop and point F4patch to the correct .exe
Step 2  Select the nightpit and apply

 
  Instructions for installing in a new or different theater using FF3.1 and Cobra1
 

 

  F-16AM cockpit installation for Red Viper
Step 1  Run the F16AM_installer, and point F4patch to the RedViper.exe
Step 2  Select FF3 and apply.
Step 3 Go to Falcon4\art\ckptart\1762, copy the content except 3dckpit.dat and paste it into Falcon4\art\ckptart\F-16AM-D
Step 4  Open art\ckptart\F-16AM-D\16_ckpit.dat (rightclick and open with Wordpad)
Step 5  Change the line in the 'manager' area to: cockpit2d 2353 2353;
Step 6 Save the datfile and go to Falcon4\art\ckptart and copy 3dckpit.dat and 3Dbuttons.dat and paste these into Falcon4\art\ckptart\F-16AM-D (D stands for Dutch)
Step 7  Select a F-16AM of the RNLAF to fly.
   
  The same method goes for the Belgian F-16AM (F-16AM-B) but with cockpit2d 2352 2352; at step 5
   
  Install of F-16AM nightpit (backlit panels) in Falcon 4.0 with Red Viper:
Step 1  Go to Falcon4\art\ckptartn\1762
Step 2  Open art\ckptart\1762\16_ckpit.dat (rightclick and open with Wordpad)
Step 3 Change the line in the 'manager' area to: cockpit2d 2353 2353;
Step 4  Save the datfile, copy Falcon4\art\ckptartn\1762 and rename the copy to Falcon4\art\ckptartn\F-16AM-D
Step 5  Run Falcon and select an F-16AM of the RNLAF to fly at night.
Step 6 Save the datfile and go to Falcon4\art\ckptart and copy 3dckpit.dat and 3Dbuttons.dat and paste these into Falcon4\art\ckptart\F-16AM-D
   
  The same method goes for the Belgian F-16AM (F-16AM-B) but with cockpit2d 2352 2352; at step 3

F-16AM Viper Superpit features: 
Cockpit views
Included are a 2D cockpit and matching 3D cockpit in one installer
Day and night timeWhen the F-16AM cockpit is installed on SP4.2/BMS2 and FF3 you can easily install the nightpit with backlit panels by running the Superpits.exe on the desktop.
When the F-16AM cockpit is installed on FF3/Cobra1 you have the nightpit with backlits panels automatically being enabled between 21:00 and 05:00 hrs by default. This timeperiod can be adjusted in the cobra.cfg file in the Falcon4 dir.
Normal and wide view: For switching between normal and wide view use keys Shift-2 
HUD:  A full screen big HUD is available when pushing keycombination Shift-1
Tacan/map
-Clicking down 2 times from the default view shows the reference view for TACAN selection and a map.
Kneeboard
- The right knee has a set of browsable checklists, present are a rampstart checklist,  fence in/out checklist, refuelling checklist, AA/AAA threat list.  Browsing is done by left and right clicking.
-Rampstart
- A full rampstart is possible, checklist on the right knee in the sim.
Extra functionality
Some extra switches are included, canopy open/close switch, chaff/flare slap switch, browsable checklists, instruments lighting
