"The 2D panel was made with high resolution images (1600x1200) and is also
very impressive for its realism. I believe they did a tremendous research
for the development of this aircraft and they were very successfull at it,
as I was impressed of how everything seens to be in the correct position,
with the correct shape and dimension. Really amazing stuff ! There are six
"main" 2D panels in this aircraft: the main panel itself (obviously),
the instrument panel, the left aft console, the right aft console, the
left forward console and the right forward console. There is also the HUD
(Head Up Display) with "two panels": the ALT and the DATA ones.
The HUD is very complete, having three main positions (OFF, TEST and NAV)
and the possibility to configure its brightness with also 3 positions (automatic,
day and night)."

"Another interesting feature in the panel is the CDU. Since this would be
normally connected to the weapons and sensors system that doesn't have any
pratical meaning in Flight Simulator, the team decided to make it an
information system about the aircraft. You have six basic screens in the
CDU: navigation, waypoints, engine data, eletrics, controls and altitude.
I think that their decision of showing other valuable informations in the
CDU, instead of just drawing it with no function, was extremely correct
and I salute them for that. There's not much to talk about the virtual
cockpit, as in a few words I can say it was done with the same perfection
that the 2D panel was done. The team that developed this panel certainly
gave some lessons of how to design panels."
